Upbeat, Sweaty Fun at Saikel

We started our first Lifestyle pass adventure on page 3 - at Saikel Indoor Spin Studio. I had tried spin class once before in BC and was looking forward to checking out a local studio.  The vibe in Saikel is great!  We walked in to upbeat dance music, and were greeted by our smiling instructor Sharon Delbridge. The studio is like a night club - dark with cool colourful lights swirling the ceiling, loud upbeat music, and our instructor (the D.J.) on mic pumping us up and singing  from time to time.  I have to admit I was singing along as well and would LOVE to go back on one of their themed music nights to belt out some 80's rock. The class was 45 minutes long and went by fast. Their is a leaderboard at the front of the room that shows you how hard you are working (it doesn't say your name, just your bike number). I spent most of the class close to last place on the leaderboard but had a great time, felt strong and energized after, and chatted with some friendly outgoing people. 

What to Bring:

  • Water
  • Running shoes and socks (or they have spin shoes you can use if you prefer)
  • Towel
  • Clothes to change after  - you'll be sweaty!!
